The task of adding all species and protocols to the new EBP data flow is progressing well
As a critical part of the LIFE EBP Reinforcement project, we
are currently re-connecting all portals to the EBP data flow with the
information of all the species and protocols. See here for further details.
This task involves re-uploading all the data of each portal up
to January 2010 and re-start the daily automated updates and has started to speed
up over the last few months.
Currently, the work has already been completed in five portals
(eBird, Pluto, SOVON Live Atlas, Trektellen and MaltaBirdSightings) and all in
all, this means that we have already received data from 71 million bird records
from more than 550 bird species and 13 different countries using the new, improved,
EBP data flow system.
Moreover, the task has started or is very advanced for three more portals (Artportalen, Artsobservasjoner and DOFBasen) and the system is ready to start receiving the data from four others: Aves-Symfony, Birds.cz, BirdTrack and OpenBirdMaps.
